Karen Rhea Russell

Karen Russell was most recently director of accounting at Southcross Energy, leading the operational and financial accounting department including the process of taking the company public in 2011 and building the public reporting structure.

Previous to Southcross, Karen was assistant controller for The Staubach Company, where she was involved in merging all franchise locations prior to the sale of the assets to Jones Lang LaSalle.  Karen also worked with Texas Independent Energy, a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group, as manager of financial reporting, where she focused on financial reporting and staff development. Karen started her career at The Crescent, first with The Crescent Club and later The Spa at the Crescent.

Karen received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and a is member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants.
